Court 16 Philadelphia, PA

This 16,000 sf tennis and pickleball club is located in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia. Four USTA-sanctioned tennis courts for 12 and under instruction are configured into an adaptive reuse space. Driving the design is a refined jewel box, a building in a building, inserted into the club’s programatic sequence. Conceived simultaneously as a entry, threshold and locker, the wood clad box combines various functional items into an efficient footprint.

A playful, functional geometric entry structure serves as a building within a building, consolidating key program elements into a distinct architectural form
